The College of Petroleum and Energy Studies was founded in 1982 and soon established
itself as a leading international centre providing training courses for professional and
managerial staff working in the international oil, gas, petrochemical and energy industries.
At the time of the merger in July 2000, CPS had trained 26,000 managers, engineers, economists
and commercial staff from 3,300 organizations.

Princeton Energy Programme was created in 1992. Since then over 16,000 professionals
from 1,300 organizations have attended courses. Seven course directors
comprising full time faculty and industry experts deliver over 20 programmes,
which cover energy trading, operations, management, derivatives, futures
and options.
