The Oxford Princeton Programme Announces a Brand New Just-In-Time Web-Based Course Available on March 1st 2009

EUROPEAN GAS: SECURITY OF SUPPLY
Understanding the Russia-Ukraine Gas Conflict

PRINCETON, NJ - February 2009: The Oxford Princeton Programme, the world's leading provider of education and training solutions to the energy, commodity and derivatives markets, is pleased to announce the forthcoming release of a brand web-based course straight out of this year's headlines:

EUROPEAN GAS: SECURITY OF SUPPLY
Understanding the Russia-Ukraine Gas Conflict

Even as Russia and Ukraine have come to an agreement to get gas flowing into Europe once more after supplies were curtailed in January 2009, their dispute is a long-running one that has been brewing ever since the breakup of the Soviet Union. We are unlikely to see the last of it. How prepared is Europe and the rest of the world for when this dispute makes headlines in the future?

"The course's timeliness ensures professionals in and out of the gas industry who have a vested interest in the supply and demand dynamics of this region will be fully informed ," says Clara Lippert Glenn, President and CEO, The Oxford Princteton Programme.

This 2-hour self-paced web-based course will include:

  • how and why Europe has come to rely on imported gas, and on Russian gas in particular
  • how Russian gas gets to Europe, and how this may change with new pipeline and LNG infrastructure projects
  • how gas is priced, and how the prices that Russia and Ukraine have been disputing compare to other international prices
  • how the dispute between Russia and Ukraine arose, and how it might eventually be resolved
It includes optional audio narration, a glossary, a printable learning reminder of key points, as well as exercises and a final test to reinforce comprehension. A certificate of completion can be automatically downloaded upon successful completion of this course.

Register today and be one of the first to access this course when it becomes available on March 1st 2009. Course fee is $175. Corporate discounts are available for multiple purchases.
