The Oxford Princeton Programme Announces New Certificate Program in
Energy Derivatives Pricing, Hedging and Risk Management
PRINCETON, NJ - November 2008:
The Oxford Princeton Programme will offer a new certification program in
Energy Derivatives Pricing, Hedging and Risk Management to run in Houston
and Calgary beginning in 2009. Recipients who complete the three-course
requirement will immediately distinguish themselves as professionals who
demonstrate advanced understanding, competence, and proficiency with the
sterling reputation of our curriculum behind them.
"Successful completion of this first of its kind certification will provide the
industry with an easily recognizable distinction," says Jobert E. Abueva, Global

will benefit energy trading and support staff alike."
In order to complete this certification program the following two-day courses
must be completed in this order:
Energy Derivatives Markets, Instruments and Hedging (DPH1)
10-11 March in Calgary
27-28 April in Houston

Advanced Derivatives Pricing, Hedging and Risk Management (DPH3)
27-28 May in Calgary

- Dynamic simulation of risk
- Potential counterparty exposure for energy derivatives

Requirements for this certificate include:
- $450 enrollment and upon signing agreement which states intention to work towards the certificate.
- Candidates have three (3) years to complete all three courses (DPH1, DPH2, and DPH3) as well as accompanying exams. Each course is offered at least once a year.
- Once a course is completed, an exam paper will be mailed to the candidate and must be completed and submitted within three (3) months.
- A brief paper is to be completed at the end of the final course that will enable candidates to apply some of the concepts presented in an area that would benefit them in their day-to-day activities (final topic to be chosen in consultation with the course director).
- Note: Delegates who have already successfully completed TPD in 2007 or 2008 are eligible to enroll into DPH3 (no need to take DPH1 or DPH2).
- Upon successful completion, a certificate and accompanying token of achievement is presented to the recipient.
