The Oxford Princeton Programme Debuts Three Courses In Europe on Critical LNG and GTL Topics (Autumn 2007)
PRINCETON, NJ - May, 2007:
The Oxford Princeton Programme, the world's leading provider of training
solutions to the energy, commodities, and derivatives industry, is pleased to
announce three new additions to its European course schedule:
- LNG Shipping - A Voyage of Discovery: 7-9 November 2007, Oxford, UK
- Gas-to-Liquids - A New Gas Horizon: 17 September 2007, London, UK
- Global LNG: Import and Regasification-Europe: 22-25 October 2007, Dusseldorf, Germany
"The production of both LNG and GTL have undergone a series of changes over the
past thirty years, and are on the brink of becoming not only viable fuel
resources, but also cost efficient methods of transporting natural gas," says
Jobert Abueva, Global Marketing Manager. "The Oxford Princeton Programme
recognizes the need for education and training as these markets evolve."
With petroleum usage reaching record highs worldwide and petroleum production on
the decline, the roles of LNG and GTL are poised to spring to the forefront of
reliable energy resources.
"As demand from the advanced economies increases steadily and that of the
transition economies of both the Near and Far East grows at unprecedented rates,
a new 'Great Game' is upon us from both a market and geopolitical perspective,"
says GTL and Global LNG Course Director Leigh Bolton. "There is the beginning of
a revolution in commercial, contractual and trading in the new Global LNG
marketplace which may completely change the face of LNG markets in the next few
years."
- LNG Shipping - A Voyage of Discovery,
7-9 November 2007 Oxford, UK
This three day course provides essential information on the commercial,
technical, operating, legislative, and legal issues surrounding the transport of
LNG. Delegates will learn, amongst other things, about the catalysts for LNG
shipping, the operating costs of LNG transport vessels, determining freight
rates, shipping contracts and charter parties, and LNG terminal operation.
Instructor presentations, interactive exercises, and case study analysis will be
utilized in order for delegates absorb the greatest amount of information
possible. By course end, delegates should have a better understanding of how to
analyze opportunities and risk in LNG shipping.
- Gas-to-Liquids - A New Gas Horizon,
17 September 2007 London, UK
This introductory course offers delegates exposure to many significant GTL
issues. It provides a broad overview of GTL from a commercial, market, and
technical perspective. Delegates will learn the essentials of the GTL business
in a global gas context, understand key GTL players and technologies, learn
about the latest GTL developments, and analyze the role of GTL in the context of
the natural gas and petrochemical market. Delegates will exit the course with a
better understanding of current GTL developments worldwide.
- Global LNG: Import and Regasification- Europe,
22-25 October 2007 Dusseldorf, Germany
There is a potential for over one hundred and thirty new import terminals to be
in operation by 2010, thanks in large part to cost efficient improvements in LNG
technology. In spite of these improvements, however, terminals still cost
US $400 million dollars to construct. This course provides a comprehensive
overview of current technical developments, as well as up-to-date information on
the LNG market and shipping. By course end, delegates will understand how LNG
imports fit in with the overall supply chain, be able to recognize and have a
familiarity with LNG sourcing and supply issues, understand the shipping aspect
of LNG imports, comprehend the challenges of regasification, and have a clear
understanding of the future of LNG.
All three courses offer a certificate upon successful completion and seats are
limited to ensure proper in-depth coverage. For those with widespread company
interest, these courses may also be scheduled as on-site seminars.
