PRINCETON, NJ - January, 2007:
The Oxford Princeton Programme, Inc., the world's leading provider of training
solutions to the energy, commodities and derivatives industries, follows up a
successful series of course offerings in 2006 with even more in 2007 to meet the
growing demand for a cutting-edge South African curriculum that gives delegates

2007 public courses will amount to 27 training days to be held in convenient
Cape Town and Johannesburg venues and to cater to professionals across a variety
of functions and levels of experience.
"The Oxford Princeton Programme recognizes the importance of meeting
customers' need for accessible, multidimensional learning they can put to
immediate use," says Jobert Abueva, Global Marketing Manager. "To best
service this demand, we have compiled courses that strengthen core competencies,
across a wide array of energy-related topics."
The following are public courses confirmed to come to South Africa during the
first half of 2007:
- Trading and Operations within the International Oil Markets,
6-9 March 2007, Cape Town
This four-day course provides a fundamental understanding of the trading and operations within the international oil industry. Selection, purchase, shipment and refining of crude oil are just a few points for discussion. Emphasis is placed on successfully resolving the practical issues encountered by professionals within the industry. Delegates will actively participate in exercises and role plays to reinforce their understanding of the topics presented.
- Principles of International Oil Trading,
12-14 March 2007, Cape Town
This course spans from the basic principles of international oil trading to a discussion on the allied fields of supply, transportation and refining. Using case studies to analyze commercial driving forces, delegates will address day-to-day concerns. Crude valuation, ocean tanker transport and freight are explored together with a basic overview of terminals and pipelines. Additionally, during the week, delegates are given the opportunity to trade in the current market via a simulation of live trading.
- Understanding the International Petrochemicals Business - Technology, Markets and Economics,
14-16 May 2007, Johannesburg
The organic chemical industry is broken down in this three day course. Success in this complex industry requires a combination of practical experience and basic understanding of chemistry, markets and economics.
