Dan Rowe interview with Bloomberg News
Many of you have experienced the hands-on nature of our classroom workshops led
by our faculty of expert and captivating industry professionals. Senior faculty member,
Dan Rowe, has led workshops with The Oxford Princeton Programme for over six years
bringing first class expertise in the field of natural gas trading. On January 17, the
Forum Series from Bloomberg News sought his expertise and interviewed him on the state
of the North American natural gas industry. The interview was broadcasted on more than
250,000 Bloomberg financial news services.
Dan was asked to evaluate the current issues surrounding the natural gas industry
and focused around the rise in natural gas prices this winter as a function of storage
and exploration and production as well as recent industry scandals.
So what does Dan predict for the industry's future? He feels the industry has started
to "tighten its belt" in trading activities and to focus more on integrity. The market
is beginning to come up, and Dan thinks the "volume of gas we consume will not decrease
as a result of recent events. Barring further negative news, we will see a stronger
industry with more gas volumes moved, only amongst fewer players."
