New Power and Natural Gas Courses
The Oxford Princeton Programme is proud to announce the addition
of three new power and natural gas one-day courses to its schedule of
Silver level programmes for 2002.
Introduction to the Electricity Industry
Delegates attending this course will learn about the fundamentals of the
electricity industry. The course will cover what electricity is, different
generation methods and how electricity is transmitted. In addition, delegates
will be provided with an overview of the structure of the power industry in key
worldwide areas, such as North America, Europe and Australia.
Introduction to the European Natural Gas Industry
This introductory course gives an overview of the European natural gas industry.
Those who attend will learn how companies search for natural gas and oil, and
how has is produced and processed. In addition, attendees will earn the basics
of gas transportation and storage, including an introduction to the LNG industry.
The course also covers gas marketing, plus an in-depth discussion of the European
Gas Directive and how this is being implemented in all EU countries.
Advanced European Natural Gas
Now that you have a satisfactory understanding of the gas industry in Europe,
find out about the latest developments and trends. This two day workshop will
give you a comprehensive understanding of the emerging European natural gas
market. Regulation and competition of natural gas in Europe is the prevalent
issue. Discuss in detail how different countries are implementing the EU Natural
Gas Directive, or responding to it. Types of competition and alternative
industry structures will be discussed as well as challenges for competitive gas
markets in Europe. Participants will also learn about drivers for natural gas
pricing. Potential trading hubs will be compared through interactive activities
and OTC gas contracting will be explained.
