We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our training courses. For your convenience, we have compiled a comprehensive list of questions frequently asked by our course delegates. Can you tell me more about the hotels where the courses are held?

To find which hotel your course is being held at, go to the course summary on our website. Select the "venue" button next to your course date and this will take you to the specific venue details.

If there is no venue listed, we have not yet confirmed so please re-visit the site shortly.

Your course joining instructions will be sent to you 3-4 weeks prior to the course and will confirm the venue, along with all the other details you will need.

 

What Residential options do you offer?

All courses held in Oxford are offered on a residential basis, please select the course with accommodation when booking. Accommodation will be at the course venue, unless otherwise advised.

A residential package offers dinner, bed and breakfast at the hotel from the night prior to the course until the final day.

Courses held in other locations are on a non-residential basis.

 

Do you have special rates with course venues for accommodation?

We have pre-arranged some special rates with certain regular venues, these rates and details of how to obtain them are shown on the venue details page, which can be accessed by selecting the "venue" button next to your course date.

 

What will the weather be like?

What should I bring with me on my trip?

Oxford Courses - we would suggest that you include:

  • Comfortable walking shoes (for the walking tour)
  • Waterproof jacket/coat (depending on weather)
  • Umbrella
  • Plug adapter for electrical items
  • Check the course summary or your joining instructions for any specific equipment requirements

Will I have access to the Internet during my trip?

Internet access is usually available at the venues and hotels, however you will require a laptop* and you may be charged.

*Prospero House in London do have their complimentary internet stations available.

 

Why is there a pre-course questionnaire?

If you are supplied with a pre-course questionnaire, this is to determine the level of experience and skills of the individual participant, and to aid the course director in assigning evenly balanced syndicate groups.

 

Can you meet specific dietary needs?

We will endeavour to fulfil your dietary requirements so long as you let us know what these are in advance. When you receive your joining instructions please feel free to let us know your requirements; however there will always be a vegetarian option made available.

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. We also accept cheques and wire transfers. If you are paying by cheque, please ensure it is generated in the currency stated on the invoice. Cheques may be sent to the office address specified on the invoice.

What are your bank details for wire transfers?

Banking details can be found on the bottom of your invoice, if you require a copy please contact the relevant office who will be able to send a copy to you.

 

What are the visa requirements for my destination?

Please contact the respective destination country consulate or embassy for specific visa requirements.

 

What are the benefits of the accommodation package in Oxford?

By choosing the accommodation package, delegates will receive:

  • Convenience of a single location for tuition and accommodation.
  • All meals for the duration of your stay, including dinner, bed and breakfast.*
  • Full use of hotel leisure facilities.**

* Water, tea and coffee are included at designated break times. All other drinks are for your own account, including bottled water.

** If available.

Please note, we recommend you choose the accommodation package as there are social events that take place in the evenings of the course and transport will only be arranged from the course location.

 

How long does it take to get to Oxford by train/coach from Heathrow?

By coach from Heathrow it takes 90 minutes depending on traffic and to terminal (5) around 80 minutes.

The fast train to/from Paddington train station takes 1 hr 12 - 14 minutes the slow train takes 1 hr 47 minutes.

 

What social events are there when attending an Oxford course?

As part of your course we organise a selection of social events to enhance your experience, these vary depending on the length of your course. These events are not compulsory; however you are welcome to attend:

  • Walking tour - this normally takes about 90 minutes and the guide is very well informed and gives a "behind the scenes" look at Oxford and its cultural history.
  • Drinks reception - this will take place in an Oxford Bar for the group and lecturers to socialise and network.
  • Course dinner - this will take place in an Oxford Restaurant for the group and lecturers to socialise and network.
